Wildlife here includes elephants, leopards, jackal, fox, wild boar, sloth bear, India gazelle, spotted deer, porcupine, Asiatic Lion, Royal Bengal Tiger.
Lal Bagh: Haven for all nature lovers, Lal Bagh is the most famous tourist attraction in Bangalore. It is spread over 240 acres, it was commissioned by Hyder Ali in 1760 and completed by Tipu Sultan. The Glass House in the gardens was inspired by the London Crystal Palace. The lawn clock in the garden is the first of its kind in India.
Tipu Sultan’s Palace: Tipu Sultans Palace was constructed in the year 1791, the palace was used as the summer residence of the Sultan. Tipu Sultan was the ruler of the Kingdom of Mysore from the year 1782 CE to 1799 CE. Magnificent figures, paintings and other artwork adorn this palace. Now, it has been converted into a museum and is maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India.
Cubbon Park: Cubbon Park is spread in 300 acres of land, this beautiful park has more than 6,000 species of trees and plants. It was constructed by Richard Sankey who was the Chief Engineer of Mysore. Statues of famous personalities are situated here. Also Bangalore Aquarium is also situated in this park.
Shivasamudram Falls: Located 120 km away from Bangalore city, Shivanasamudra is the second largest waterfall in India and the sixteen largest in the world. This is the waterfall where Asia’s first hydroelectric power station was set up in the year 1905. The place is a paradise for nature lovers and this picturesque location is worth remembering.
ISKCON Sri Radha Krishna Temple: The Radha Krishnachandra Temple in Bangalore inaugurated in 1997, the temple is a perfect union of spirituality and modernity. The temple is dedicated deities of Sri Sri Radha Krishnachandra, Sri Sri Krishna Balarama, Sri Sri Nitai Gauranga, Sri Srinivasa Govinda and Sri Prahlada Narasimha.
