City Palace: One of the best architectural marvels in the state of Rajasthan, the City Palace in Udaipur is located on the banks of Lake Pichola. Lake Pichola: Located in the heart of Udaipur, Pichola is the oldest and one of the largest lakes in all of Udaipur. Pichola Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes in Rajasthan. Lake Pichola is enveloped by lofty Palaces, temples, bathing ghats and elevated hills on all its sides. Visitors to Udaipur cannot miss out on taking a boat ride on Lake Pichola which starts from Rameshwar Ghat in the City Palace.

Fateh Sagar Lake: Fateh Sagar Lake is an artificial lake in Udaipur and one of the four beautiful lakes in the city. Saheliyo Ki Bari: Saheliyon ki Bari is a beautiful garden in the city of Udaipur and is one of the popular Udaipur tourist places. Saheliyon ki Bari was constructed by Maharana Bhopal Singh. Saheliyon ki Bari in English means the ‘garden of maids’. The queen had 48 maids accompanying her after the marriage and to offer them peace and happiness away from the regular life, this garden was built.

Jaisamand Lake: The second largest artificial lake in India is located in the city of Udaipur which is known as Dhebar lake or Jaisamand lake. The lake was constructed by Maharaja Jai Singh in the 17th century while building a dam across the Gomti river.  It is surrounded by the Jaisamand Wildlife Sanctuary which is home to a variety of rare animals and migratory birds. On its marble dam, there are six cenotaphs and a temple dedicated to Shiva at the centre.

Jag Mandir palace: The beautiful Jag Mandir Palace sits majestically on an island on the magnificent Lake Pichola. Maharana Jagat Singh in the mid-17th century completed the construction of this palace. The palace is an architectural marvel adorned with marble structures of eight elephants, spacious courtyards and gleaming white marble tiles.

Bhartiya Lok Kala Museum: Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal is an institution engaged in the studies of folk art, culture, songs and festivities of Rajasthan. Located to the north of Chetak circle in Udaipur, the museum has a fine collection of paintings, folk musical instruments, folk dresses and ornaments, dolls, masks, puppets and idols of Gods and Goddesses. The puppet theatre here offers puppet shows as well.

Udaipur Solar Observatory: Situated on an island in the Fateh Sagar Lake, Solar Observatory of Udaipur is considered as the best solar observing site in Asia. The observatory aspires to do research in Modern science and is the main lace to develop the solar physics in India. Since it is surrounded by water from all sides, it provides a favourable atmosphere for solar observations.

Dudh Talai Musical Garden: Doodh Talai Musical garden is a rock and fountain garden which is a great place to enjoy the sunset and one can see the wide expanse of the city. There is a rock garden, and musical fountain that has been constructed by the “Yagnik Mechanical Engineering Works”. The lawn also has an old step-well or Baoli and a sunset point.
